Sara & The Council
You are everything you wish to be, you already are. You are a Steward of Divine Love in the world. You are so much more powerful than you could ever know. Your purpose for being – your purpose for being here in a body – is to love, is to have fun, and to experience great joy. And you knew when you came into this experience that not all moments would be perfect joy. You knew that there was a gambit of emotions that you would experience in your time here. You knew that some days would be joyful and fun, while others would be full of grief and struggle. But, you were not afraid. You are a courageous being. You knew your own strength. You knew your own power. And you came forth knowing that anything that you experienced in this human experience, that you could overcome. You are courageous and you knew that you could overcome it all because you are a Divine Being. You knew that. You knew that you were here for the fun of it, for the joy of it, and for everything else that came along with it. The sadness, the grief, the struggle you have experienced in your life has served you. It has served you. It has taught you great love. It has taught you great compassion. It has taught you how to feel. That is very important. It has taught you how to feel. It has broken you open. That is a wonderful thing. There is not any experience that you will undergo as a human that is ever wasted. Each moment serves, each experience teaches, each experience helps you go deeper into the remembrance of who you are – the remembrance of who you are. The only purpose, the only reason, is to remember the Divine Being that looks out beyond your eyes – that is connected to all things – that is powerful beyond words. You are a servant, you are a shepherd, and you are a Steward for Divine Love, because Divine Love is what you are. It is what you came here to bring to others, to humanity and to yourself. Love of self is the greatest thing that you can achieve in your life, in this experience here. If you can learn, Dear One, to love yourself – truly, truly love yourself – then you will find the peace that you desire in your life. You will find the love that you desire in your life. You will find the harmony in all things. And you will foster great bonds with other humans and with the non-physical guides and beings that are always available to you. But it is a worthiness – it is a feeling of worthiness that eventually gives you the permission to allow all of this into your life. Once you know your worthiness – once you know how important you are – everything becomes available to you. Everything begins to show up the way you have dreamt of it. It begins to show up – your greatest desires unfold before you perfectly, but it is on the other side of this wall that you have put up around your heart. You must take down the wall so that you may really, truly feel the love that you are. That is your power. You are Divine Love. You are the force of love in the world. And the only thing that’s holding you back is fully allowing your own love to be realized by you. From there, you invite in everything to your experience. You invite in the love that you desire so deeply with another. You allow in the bonds – the bonds and the connections with humanity. You invite in the forces of all things to support you. Not that you need support, because you are so powerful, indeed, but there is a great ease with allowing in all of the support that is here for you to guide you, to show you the way. It is a wonderful thing. It is a wonderful thing, indeed. As you go forth in your day, remember that you are the Steward of Divine Love in the world.

As I wrote in my Intention for this blog, my desire is to create heaven on earth. I have always yearned for harmony and peace, a world free from aggression and violence. I had an “aha!” moment while listening to spiritual teacher Matt Kahn, realizing that we already have heaven here on earth; whether we experience it or not is a matter of perception. My head felt as if it turned around 360 degrees. I released my erroneous belief that everything I experience is either good or bad and for just one split second, I saw it all as being exactly what it was….. neither good nor bad, neither heaven nor hell….. just….. there. In relative terms, this concept is difficult to understand, let alone to explain. But somehow, inside my body, I felt a letting go of this need to “create heaven on earth,” because it has already been created. Now all I have to do is to allow myself to experience it, open my eyes to a new world where all is exactly as it should be, empty of my judgement. My living question is: I wonder how I can experience heaven on earth? I am exploring my world with a new vision, as if it were already the heaven I have yearned for all my life. I practice by taking my glasses off and allowing everything to be out of focus, vague, unclear, new. I also ask myself every day what I could do that I’ve never done before, and throughout the day I wait for guidance. Sometimes ideas come to me to try a new food for instance, and other days, I spontaneously do something like take a detour and I realize later that it was my “new thing.” It doesn’t take much to experience life in a new way, and it makes living interesting and fresh. I am the kind of person who loves routine because it feels safe, but adventure is also very important to me and in the limited world of chronic illness, easy little adventures are the way to go. Happiness means feeling you are on the right path every moment. You don’t need to arrive at the end of the path in order to be happy. —Thich Nhat Hanh, “The Heart of the Matter“ |
